Awesomenauts, the multiplayer online battle arena where Aliens, Russian monkeys with jetpacks and giant robots do battle, may not meet its May 1 release date. Actually, it may not be released at all.
Publisher dtp entertainment, who most recently pushed out Divinity II and The Cursed Crusade, has just filed for insolvency, which could prevent Awesomenauts from making its downloadable debut. When asked about this breaking news, Jasper Koning of Ronimo Games stated the developer is “unsure what this means” for the future of the title.
What happens next for both dtp entertainment and Awesomenauts is still unclear, but more information is sure to be coming in the near future.
